Photographer. Artist. Human. I can only live by what experiences have come before myself. I make choices. I make mistakes. I move on. I’m a beautiful person.
The last year and a half i have been doing this project writing songs and releasing them as singles with a video. I feel this is our best work to date and the creative flow is full steam ahead. I am extremely proud of all the work we have done but feel we are turning a corner and the response we have had to this work touches my heart.
Thank you Blues Buddha for sharing your beauty through Music!
On a recent trip to Hawaii, I was transformed into a mermaid. I’ve always felt like a mermaid and now I have photographic proof!
I love being in nature, but I’m especially at home in water. When I’m in sea, ocean, lake or pond, I become liquid. Hard edges bend and blur, I am fluid and luminous. Tension melts away, my imagination is released, time dissolves; I become powerful, mysterious, magical. In my element I know my essence again, my truth; and the truth of who I am is where my true beauty resides.
Rebecca is a writer, author of The Pickle King, a songwriter with a mysterious and magical album, Kill That Song.
Left Teaching to have a go on making films and exploring Plastic Art, I was born in what is known now as the sad city of blood & terror Baghdad, Iraq (1972). At the age of six, my journey as an outcast started in Diaspora after the escape of my family from the Iraqi Baath Regime. A Bachelor of Arts and Literature enriched another dimension to my approach of life, death and the in Between; in addition to the many places I took as a refuge in 4 Continents.
While I’m making bad art, saying stupid things and continuing implementation of my master plan to be completely forgotten when I’m gone and totally forgettable while I’m here; I’m still molding impressionable young minds or arguing for a decent budget for my next work. My work has gone to some amazing places, since I started to deal with my IDENTITY. To be honest, I prefer to process those emotions through my art but things always end up horribly:)
In 2012, I’ll be 40! After more than 25 years of working in different areas [education, TV production, design, branding, capacity building, editing, translation, screen writing, plastic art and Indy film making], I confess that I learned nothing and not wise enough to see things clearly and I still approach new experience like a 14 year old boy obsessed in exploring and experimenting. I still have a lot to do and a lot to learn… Some might say that my journey is filled with bumps and surprises that may not always be pleasant, I listen to them but I might as well enjoy the ride! As the greatest poet of all time Robert Frost once said:
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.”
Now I’m somewhere in the wide blue marble re-writing my first feature film (8th draft).
Thank you Al Saffar for sharing your Artistic Beauty!
I’m submitting this on behalf of my brother Jayme-G, who’s amazing talent is over-looked by the World’s eye… Drowning in a virtual sea of sounds, the engulfing radio waves have driven him back to building work… So he needs a shout-out from WeAreBeautifulPeople! (This song is one of my first videos!)
Thank you Joe for submitting your loving beauty by sharing your brother’s beauty through music! And thank you for sharing your beauty via film making!
I proposed to my girlfriend on May 9th, 2011. It was one of the scariest and most magical moments in my life… Watch the video and you’ll see how it all went down.
Thank you Stephanie for sharing your beauty – with the one you love & with us!

We Are Beautiful People is a movement aimed to encourage each of us to find, embrace and share the beauty within – changing the way we feel about ourselves and how we see and accept others.
The WRBP website is an inclusive multimedia platform – an opportunity to express your beauty via art, song, film, video, written word, or any medium you choose! We post submissions sent in by you, the community, and share your unique expression of what makes you feel beautiful.
Through sharing, the project gives you the power to shape and redefine beauty as we know it. Together we can create an avenue that transcends diverse communities, removes boundaries and furthers the possibilities of love and acceptance.
Request a WRBP workshop to your school and community – let’s redefine how we see ourselves and others, embracing how amazing we truly are!
